Hello,

I found and used system-rescue a couple of times and found it very useful. Thank you for making it available.

Now, since those times were like one year apart, I was looking for a way to make sure the system on the usb stick is updated, and found no information about that.

It seems a bit too involved to get the newer image and rewrite it, but of course that’s doable, it takes more time than I want to spend with it.

So here is a suggestion to the maintainers, to add something like this to it, I think it is a useful feature to have.

Thanks for the suggestion. System Rescue is very different from mainstream distributions so we cannot just rely on pacman to upgrade the pacakges. What we would need to develop is a tool to update the various key files on an already installed memory stick. It must be possible but I suspect it would take a lot of effort. So it probably wont happen soon, but it’s useful to have new ideas so we can consider new solutions for various problems.
